I appreciate your words of encouragement, thanks! However, having had my arse kicked doing the sessions for the past 3 years I am more than used to being dropped by better riders than me. The issue is both a new job/big promotion and trying to complete my Doctorate and two small(ish) children - something has to give at the moment and unfortunately, it is going to have to be the competitive sport (Duathlons) - hence my reason for selling my competition bike; I just can't put the time into the training to do myself justice. I see a couple years riding with Tony's group at Stourport beckoning! Thanks again, it is genuinely appreciated!
Richard, You are training with the fast lads, 1st/2nd cat riders at their pace, Getting dropped unless you can ride at 25mph with no aero gear is par for the course at some point. Use it to improve sitting on wheels and powering out of corners it will be as fast or faster than a 4th cats race. Having said that the night should start steadish and slowly get faster, It isn't racing. Broadheath isn't bad course ride 1/2 lap to recover cut across and hop back in.
Following a dismal performance at the first WNTB, I have put my Kinetic One Carbon Bike and Pro Lite Carbon Wheels up for sale. For full details see the ebay page below (Copy and paste into your browser):
