RE: Worcester - Powick- Malvern - National Cycle Network Route 46 consultations

It was great to see so many cyclists turning up for the Drop in.

Some of us (members of St John's, Sustrans and CTC) rode the route alongside the A449. Consensus seemed to favour joining up a couple of small sections of the existng road side path - particularly near the Half Way House pub. That would make it a virtual Dutch Standard safe cycle route for commuters, school children and shoppers.

Touring and road cyclists will use the ( extremely fast and dangerous) A449 anyway. The two side "spurs" shown on the map are useful for sightseers as both go through nice areas.

So, please sign up with your comments. This is part of a National Route (NCR 46) passing through our area. It goes all the way to Salisbury.

All the best

Gerry
