As Wheeler says it's Majority rules! both on TT's and the Crits.
The concenus among clubs i have spoken to seems to be for Tuesday Crits. But no it is not in stone, Just i would expect a majority decision to be Tuesday Crits. With 2 events taking place on Tuesdays however it will of course mean some planning in order to help run them both on Worcester St johns CC's turn although we have to veiw this against 100+ members in the club.
Holding TT's on Tuesdays really isn't an issue in fact if anything extends the option to riders.
TT's locally would be on Tuesdays (Our's), Wednesdays (Wyre Forest), Thursdays (Sevale),
Road Races Thursdays and Opens on Weekends
Crits on Tuesdays and may be Thursdays.
Now while no-one is going to be able or willing to race every day The options have been increased. This is a good thing.
All opinions are good in these forums things may not read the same way as someone's intentions but it does at least air veiws and mean that we move forward together.
Next years crits will be tuesday nights, these are divisonal level events involving probably 15 differant clubs.Tuesday night was decided on because it was the best evening when everything was concidered,I dont know what was mentioned at the committee meeting as I wasnt there. Personally I am at a loss to understand why this whole subject has caused such alot of bad feeling? Arnt we all supposed to be promoting our sport where ever and when ever possible?
Has it been confirmed that the Crit Racing will take place on Tuesday Nights next season or is there a possibility that could be changed (I thought we'd be able to influence that based on our discussions at Committee when we agreed to promote a Tuesday Crit earlier in the year - my recollection might be wrong however).
Personally I could probably do either Tuesday or Wednesday, happy to go with the majority preference.
Thanks for the suggestions but sorry, I agree with Martin's comments that Tuesday evening TTs fit in perfectly with the cycling I'm doing the rest of the week. For myself I wouldn't want them moved to Wednesday.
I would strongly suggest anyone who has a positive contribution and knows what they are talking about goes along to the meeting at the stourport clubhouse on 4th october. that is the only way you can be guarenteed your Ideas will be heard. That is regards racing at stourport not the club TT's.

It's a great facility, though I did find it getting a bit repetitive week on week:
Can we go the other way round occasionally - clockwise with the finish swapped to the other side?
How about mixing in some other formats: points race or an elimination/devil take the hindmost could still be run within the BC points system. What about a team race (like the Tour Series). Not sure how or if some form of handicapping could be done? Would a super-long ~2hr 50 mile race work?
Although it was called a series, there wasn't any ranking or prize over the whole series (although I did hear some criticism of the WF Thursday series since there was only overall prizes, no prizes on night). Does the series always have to be Tuesday evening? The separate Saturday afternoon races worked quite well. Friday nights can be good (provided your not normally out on the town!) as you can still fit in a mid-week timetrial, plus have some recovery before Sunday racing.
With regards to the Thursday event, being a tad parochial I can't help thinking that asking us to run a 'Shropshire' event is a bit of a stretch, particularly when we have only just established our own West Mids series. I'd thought about doing some of the Shrops league events but was put off by the distance to travel on weekday evenings (plus with the regular racing at Stourport).

Sorry. I have to agree with the general sentiments expressed so far. Tuesday evening TTs fit in perfectly with the cycling I'm doing the rest of the week. For myself I wouldn't want them moved to Wednesday.
It is bound to be 'You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time but you'll never please all of the people all of the time'
When do we have to submit club time trial dates? If we can wait until after the AGM then lets discuss the idea then along with other potential changes.
Personally I find that a weekend race, a Tuesday TT and then a Thursday event just about do-able, so Wednesday would throw it out a bit
I'm thinking of having a go at some circuit racing next year. I agree with Vince in that if I did a circuit race one night I would not tt the next night anyway.
I think it's worth pointing out that keeping the tt on the tuesdays might be appealing for some riders anyway. If some of the fast boys are racing elsewhere then people who do the club tt's week in, week out and never pick up a trophy would then have a chance of a win.
It was realy good having a local facility this year and saved me a fortune in traveling costs.
Youth racing had a very poor turnout on the Wyre forest races , but u12 seems popular everywhere at the moment. The senior format is always going to be difficult, but 3&4 cat together seemed popular. Although i think the 4th cats should ride on thier own so they can have an easier level of racing and learn how to ride in a bunch.
It's great that we have so much local racing we have a job fitting it all in. The problem is with racing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at stourport, moving the club TT to Wednesday won't solve anything as not many of us want or can ride 3 days on the trot.
The Shropshire league is very popular and ideal for all abilitys as it is handicaped. It is £60 to join and means you need to ride all of them to get value for money. This means Thursday night racing at Stourport has low numbers as many have joined the SSSCCRL and ride these events.
The Tuesday Night Circuit League at S'port Circuit this year with up to 60+ Riders a night by the end was hailed a success.
The BC have called a meeting with Local Clubs on Oct 4th. The Expectation is that BC will be looking to put on more Events, look to introduce, Youth, U12 Events. As well as looking at the format on Seniors racing. I am planning to attend to put forward views of the club and riders who competed this year. While I will raise this at the next committee for an official line. I would invite all those who rode or spectators for comments on improving the racing.
With a potential increase in racing on Tuesday's and thus competition to our TT's the clubs biggest event draw should we consider moving them to Wednesdays? And keep our rider numbers up. I am told that the Wyre Forest has moved there TT night. So Of course we may get more WFCC riders if we stick to Tuesdays.
I have also been asked if would like to arrange a race for the Shropshire Thursday League on the S'port Track?
