I think that most people are aware that the Wednesday rides will now be changing format.
They will be turning into more of a social ride for the mid week.In saying that I would suggest that the average speed should still be around 17-18 MPH,if poss.
The main difference will be the routes we should be looking at 30 mile circuits on
main and b roads. Hills are welcome there's no point in avoiding them.
There will need to be a few rules firstly no one gets dropped and left behind,we don't want people abandoned in the middle of nowhere when its dark.In saying that if riders want to race to the top of a hill it will be on the understanding that we will re-group at the top. maybe we should designate a hill on each ride to do this? same can be said for 30 sign sprinting. What we absolutly do not want is riders coming along and sitting on the front doing 25mph smashing the ride up,you will not be welcome!
I think riding two abreast we should be looking at rotating every few minutes so everyone gets to go on the front if they wish, slower riders again stopping on the back to conserve energy.
I myself don't want to be committed to turning up every week and organising this.
I don't mind in the spring when we revert back into a bash.
What I shall suggest is that we all meet up on the city bridge at 18.45 and everyone have there Idea of a route.we can then pick the route by alphabetical order with surnames,or simply voting. That rider would then need to call out the junctions.
Eventually when we have a few circuits we are happy with we can post them so riders can join in part way round or drop off.
There is also the option of going over to the stourport track whenever we fancy it.

Anyway I'll start it off this week and choose the route, but all have a think about
route's and Idea's.
Finally bikes need to have mudguards in damp wet conditions, and you will need to have a front light that enables you to actually see in the dark. If not then you will be relegated to the back!!
