RE: Tv cameras coming to film the Broadheath 10 on Tues 24th!!

In the end the tv people couldn't stop to film the tt... I did mention Worcester St Johns as much as possible when they interviewed me so the club should get some coverage!

As this area has had its problems when used for cycle racing, with the local farmers/horse riders venting their frustrations at various times over recent years, may I suggest that we are all riding well within the rules of the road on Tuesday evening!!

The last thing that we would want is for irate locals to seize the opportunity for some 'air-time'

Yes a fixed wheel "safety" bike V penny farthing would be a good competition!

Steve, nice one! I've mentioned to them that you may be there on a bike that you rescued from a skip! They love it!

On the 5th of September I am racing in the Knutsford great race, a 3 hour road race for penny farthings. This event is only held once every 10 years and it is attracting a lot of media attention, including a tv documentary being made about the race.

As part of this documentary the film makers are doing a section on riders preperations for the race, this is where the Broadheath 10 comes in.. The film makers want to film our club time trial to feature in the documentary!

If nobody has any objections I plan to ride in the tt on the penny farthing so they can see how it does against modern bikes.

The film makers will not get in the way and if you don't want to be involved they will respect that, likewise if you want your 5 minutes of fame I'm sure they will be pleased to include you in some way.

Hope everyone is ok with this, All in all it will be some good coverage for the club.

Dave Preece.
