You'll find 23 mm of rubber don't grip so well and hanging out your backside and scraping unprotected knees & elbows just slows you down 'cos you can't pedal at the same time.
happens to us all some time or another - well done on a good ride mate

Being a newbie to cycling and learning the craft of time trials. Just wondering if there are any consolation points for crashing leaving elbow and arse skin on routeconfuse and still finishing time trial.  Is the old saying less haste more speed! what i should be concentrating on.

Wife thought i was in a safer sport having given up motorbike racing but now she just realises old habits die hard having spent the last 8 years picking myself up off the tarmac of most of the uk's racing circuits.
