RE: Club Night

I might be tempted as long as no one laughs at my predicted time of 40 minutes plus biggrin

I've just got to go and get some more welding wire and I'll have the stand finished for Tuesday so even us old wobbly codgers can set a time. (Forget my cartlidgeless knee joint and arthritic ankle awaiting an MRI scan)

Sorry Dave the stand won't cope with a penny.

By the way I think Holly hit 45 mph on that run

Bring it down i'd like to see you try....

Anyone missing a pump from last night..
The question is when is Martin going to set a time?

Well I enjoyed last night - only six actually ride the rollers and six spectators.
Hopefully we'll have a stand next week so beginners can actaully put some times in.
If anybody wants to come down and just do a sociable turbo session please do - I'll bring a bike and turbo next week.

Times for flying 250, 500 & 1000 m

Holly 17.27 33.88 1.16.57
Joe 13.90 30.39 1.05.37
Vince 13.41 28.40 1.03.09

I'm not going to vote, because I don't mind where we have a club night as long as it is popular with as many members as possible.
At the Bell we have refreshments already arranged. Maybe we could have a skittles league? We'll have to ask if we can take bikes inside 'cos there's not much safe room outside.
Bromyard Road would be cheaper on the pocket, I'd be happy to make tea and bring biscuits like Bob Short used to.
What's the best night?
If we keep it going through the summer as well I'd suggest Mondays.

I think the Bell in St Johns is OK as long as there is not a skittles night as well. Would the British Legion at Claines be OK as we are considering it for presentation evening ?
The Community Centre (I presume this is the Methodist Hall) would also be good, but no alcohol is allowed on premises so tea @ coffee would have to be the norm.
It has just occured to me that I have never ridden rollers after drinking pints???
I do not have any particular preference
Dave

I thought it would be a good idea to try and get a club night going again for the rest of the winter. Maybe getting a roller racing league started for the more competetative riders and something for the rest to watch while they catch up with the latest news.
I have attached a poll to see what your views are ( cup of tea or a pint???), please log in and give your opinion and vote.

Thanks
Vince
