OK so it's not 120 miles it's 130 and by the time we'd ridden there and home again we did 140 miles. Well, the entry fee was £3 and you got a food voucher for £2 at the pub at the end, so that must make it the most cost effective organised ride ever. Can you beat it? Of course Sean Dyson didn't get the full benefit, the group is cruising along at about 18 mph and he just blasts off the front and finished in a record time I guess. Those of us who went slowly enjoyed the full extent of the brilliant weather, brilliant day. See you next year for the spring 200k?
If it's that Across to the Cotswold ride then I would warn anyone fancying giving it a go that it is a bit of a beast,,,, lots of climbing up hideous hills.....
Anybody fancy a challenging 120 mile ride on Saturday 11th October from Droitwich? Scenic ride to/around Cotswolds via Pershore to Broadway, with the escarpment to Cheltenham.
Then a challenging leg to Cirencester including Sheepscombe, Edge, Painswick and Slad. Only a couple of long climbs then to Winchcombe and home. You'll need lights and best to have mudguards.
