RE: Seen this Climb Profile Website?

here's a link to the guest house web site... lots of organised tours, the pyrenees raid looks tempting.. or we could just go out of season and make up our own routes....

www.pleinairpyrenees.com

attached should be a pic from when I went to the tour..

Hi Ed, pretty cool web site! I've done a few in the pyrenees.. Col de l'Aspin, Tourmalet, Aubisque, Ax Bonascre (Ax les thermes) and my favourite.. Plat d'Adet.

Anyone fancy a trip to watch the tour next year? I know an English couple with a farmhouse guesthouse about 5 miles from Plat d'Adet. They have a mini bus with bike trailer and will take people and bikes to within a few miles of the final climbs of the day. You then get to ride up the mountain, before the tour comes through a few hours later... I went in 2005 and it was awesome! Loads of fans cheering you on as you struggle up the climbs, and usually somewhere to buy a beer at the top to! No need to take your own bike either as bike hire can be pre booked.. and the bikes are probably better than the ones most of us ride round on at home! Flights aren't expensive and you get picked up from the airport in Pau.  Any takers? Dave...

How many of these climbs have people done.  I have done a few of the easy ones, Snake Pass, Hartside, Whinlatter, Devils Staircase.  That Scanuppia (ranked hardest) at 45% sounds scary?!
