Steve, I was at work, sorry... As for the rest of them, maybe they all have campag cranks and were concerned that the rain would rust through the italian metal, in much the same way that my mates year 2000 Alfa is now full of holes.... Save the Whale! Dave.

Where were you then guys??? A small field due to rain, so the prizes were up for grabs and easy pickings, I don't know, what a bunch of lightweights.

Adam Taylor won it in 20 secs well down on last years time. The Hobbit bike race was won by Sevale man Chris Lewis-Farley in 28.50. [ the Hobbit bike if you are wondering is a 16 inch wheeled kiddie bikebiggrin  ]
The winner went off with about 30 quids worth of stuff, so worth turning up for...

pics will be posted some time soon..

I have tried 3 cars on the climb all need 1st gear this climb!!

Makes ankerdine look nice. the surface is worse and it is much steeper in places. I don't think i have ever climbed it.

If you climb to the wyche cutting stop at the Pub. walk accross the road and look straight down the Hill. This road goes in an almost straight line bottom to top.

Cool idea but residents might be so happy!biggrin

100 % steep ..... lots of 25% and probably steeper, claimed to have a 1 in 1 bump somewhere on the hillconfused but must be some 33% and nothing less than 10% even at the bottom, it is a beast. Give it a go but it is one way in the down hill direction so you might have to give way to traffic.
Should be laugh seeing those skinny little hill climbers failling to get up it and toppling off 30 yards from the top. You wont get up on a 42x24 matey. Might go and video it soon and post it on youtube. I will use the MTB I think.

You can do both..... go for a splash around the lanes then the hill climb and back for lunch...
We will probably be holding a big person on a little bike race, I have a 3 speed 16 inch wheeler girls bike... might be prizes.........................

Seriously though guys there is a good chance to win a few goodies and who knows the main one ,  a magnificent trophy I knocked up in the shed today, their is a womens trophy to win so if you know any ladies who can ride bikes let them know, a 12 year old won that one last year..
Steve.

ps what do people think about putting on a hill climb up the Old Wyche Rd? I am going to contact the council about a road closure etc...

Given the rain on sunday? Might be fun better than a 3hr soaking.
