As I live between Ledbury and Hereford its a lot closer for me, also quieter roads west of Hereford mean less on road aggro with cars and large cycling groups. Hope the weather on Sunday is better than last Saturday for the Cotswold Corker when snow and ice made for an interesting day out!
Only 60 of 250 entered started, however made for a day to remember thats for sure

Why travel all the way over there when the wyre forest has one on the same day from Kiddiminster.

Are any WSJ members planning to ride this one, I've ridden it for the last couple of years and it is a real classic event, very fast if you want, also very hilly. Last year it had the added attractions of snow, icy roads and a headwind back. Route is (reverse of last year) Hereford - Hay - Painscastle - Kington - Hereford, about 60 miles. Details are on the Climb On Bikes website

Also worth mentioning the Cotswold Corker on Sat 16th feb, this is an 100 km audax with about 1800 metres of climbing, if you want to ride this, don't delay, it is always oversubscribed, you can download the entry forms of the Audax website. This is a seriously hilly ride, but good early season ride which you can take as seriously as you wish! This years will be my 14th consecutive one1

Regards

Mark
