Saturday morning group training rides. 25-30 miles at a brisk but social pace (~17 mph) good to get some group riding practice and miles in but leaving plenty in the tank for the main Sunday bash or racing/cx. Those wanting more can do a 2nd lap.
10.30am prompt (by my gps!) at the old bridge (New Road on the cricket club side) A definitive start time means riders aren't hanging around getting cold.
To quote the Rules "Anyone arriving after the stated time of departure should see, far up the road, the lycra-clad asses of Ones-Who-Take Riding-Seriously."
We typically ride 2up in a compact group, pairs rolling off the front every 5 minutes or so. Please be considerate of your fellow riders; point and call out potholes or other hazards, use a bike with proper mudguards when conditions get damp or wet.
