Any rule breakers out there that wear dirty kit ha ha?

A retro style design skinsuit with a rear zip pocket would be really useful but granted it wouldn't be very retro if it was a skinsuit....

Thanks Martin, that seems clear enough on the BC events. Can you confirm that there is no restriction on the different jersey designs being used in CTT Open events? I THINK THE FOLLOWING EXTRACT FROM CTT REGS ANSWERS THE QUESTION AND BOTH DESIGNS WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE FOR CTT OPEN EVENTS:

16.          Competitor's Clothing

Competitors must be clothed from the neck to at least mid-thigh. Sleeves shall be at least mid upper arm length. Not withstanding the above, when competing in Type B Events, triathlon style sleeveless tops are permitted. Swimming type suits and running vests are not allowed.
To be allowed to start all clothing shall be clean and tidy.

No competitor may carry advertising or the name of a commercial business on his race clothing except:

a) where he is a member of a club or team that has paid the advertising fee, he may carry advertising, but must not compete in clothing of a trade team that is/has been registered with the UCI unless he is a member of that team: or
b) when competing in club events
N.B. The inclusion of a manufacturer's logo shall be permitted.

(Of academic interest only I suppose, but the design is a replica of an earlier jersey which I presume was registered with BC, so does that mean that genuinely old jerseys of that same retro design are "retired" when a new design is registered, so that all competitors must wear the currently registered design?).

Vince - BC rules specifically state design as well as colour

8.1.2 When competing under these Regulations riders (other than as provided in T.R. 8.1.8 and 8.1.9) shall wear Club or Region registered design and colours, as is appropriate.

8.2.1 Affiliated Clubs, Trade Teams and Individual Members shall register the design and colour of their racing costume with Headquarters. Upon approval Headquarters shall notify the appropriate Region of the design and colour.

8.1.9 In Road and Track events, Youth, Fourth and Provisional category licence holders and BC non licence holders will be allowed to wear any suitable clothing whilst competing in events under the Technical Regulations of the Federation, including that bearing registered or unregistered advertising except in the case of National Championships

Jon

You are correct it is the colours that have to be submitted to the racing organisations, the design can vary as long as the colours are the same.

Mark, thanks for reproducing the design more professionally than my attempt with felt tips and crayons!

One point of clarification - someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you could wear either jersey design (i.e. current design or retro version) in CTT Open Time Trial Events, the restriction on racing applies to BC events (does this extend to track and cyclo-cross aswell as road racing?).

Touring / Training / Supporters Clothing Design

There has been a suggestions to bring back as a NON-Racing strip the original strip. This is an alternative more casual kit, for those members who would like to wear the colours but have no intention to Race. The design below is not final and if considered worthwhile will be finalised later. It is believed that all cycling kit both Racing and Casual can be ordered together to help keep costs down.

The Racing Jersey is registered with the BC and there is NO suggestion we should update this. In strict rules you could be stopped from Racing in the  incorrect jersey in BC events.
