Or come along to any of the Tuesday evening time trials to have a chat.
Quite a few people go just to be sociable.
If you're keen you can ride your mountain bike and race! You wouldn't be the first, and in a time trial it doesn't matter how fast or slow you are.
there's a 5 mile one at broadheath next week.

Karen,
It depends on where you want to go with your cycling.Being a runner you should be able to take it up quickly to a reasonable level.
Yes you could just turn up for the club run on your mountain bike with
slick road tyres, but you are going to need to be quite strong to ride it at an average of about 15mph for a total of 4 hours or so.
There is a shorter run that meets at the bell pub quite regually for further info contact Maureen 01905 23884 or Karen 07976 252 977 That is the one I would advise.
They will also advise you on bike's and equipment to suit you.
