Date has not yet been arranged, as I am just finding out if sufficient interest. Obviously anyone offering to help or to ride ,would be subject to them being available on date that can be arranged with WMCCL and availability of venue.
It was lumpy and technical and I was shattered going up that steep bank for the 10th time cos I went off the start too fast. Less sand and flatter would have suited me but wouldn't be as good for the hungover mountain goats
Any idea what date it would be on? Last year I was away on holiday and dashed back to race but was still hungover and suffered really badly!
I would like to help organising in some way as I love cyclocross!
The course was good last year, if a bit rough! It was nice to have a mixture of surfaces to ride on, a bit different to most other cross courses that I have ridden.
Dave You rode so I would say you must judge the course. The Facilities were good if a bit far to walk back for lunch ;). I'll certainly come and marshal it was a good day out. Martin will ride the under 10's I think the biggest comment I remember from the organisers was get more help for laying the course out. Should be able to put a couple hours in on the sat. If you can get one course for both the kids and the adults that would be better. But that might mean moving the start finish. If you are on map myy ride I can send the courses over.
This year Vince cannot give the necessary commitment to be the organiser. So I am considering offering to take on from Vince, should the club wish to keep the event going. I feel it adds another dimension to our club,by offering an off road event for all ages, and allows our young family members to compete should they wish. Unfortunately I was on holiday last year, so could not get involved. I would consequently like some feed back, would you ride, are our young members interested in riding again, would you help marshaling, marking out course, judging, lap scoring etc. Was venue OK, or anything else you can think of???
