RE: Zero Carbon Caravan

The start point is The New Inn on the A4103 between Storridge and Leigh
Sinton (Grid Ref: SO 760 493). On arriving in Worcester there will be a
group photo and press call as the 'caravan' crosses the River Severn on the
Worcester Bridge (close to the Cricket Ground) (Grid Ref: SO 846 548).
Hopefully this will provide a positive article in the local paper - making
the link between better facilities for cyclists and doing our bit to reduce
road congestion and CO2 emissions.

The ride into Worcester is about (6 miles)10kms and should take no more than
an hour. If you can't make the ride why not join us on Worcester Bridge for
the photocall at about 4 to 4:15pm.

Hello,

On 31st August Chris Keene will be travelling through Worcester as part of his cycle ride to Copenhagen to raise awareness of the issue connected with climate change.

Chris is cycling from Wales through different towns to publicise the need for the powers that be that we need to tackle climate change before its too late. Clearly promoting cycling as part of the package of measures to reduce oil consumption is a big message he is promoting too.

We are arranging for a large group of people to join him on bikes around 10 miles out and then to cycle into Worcester - obviously the larger the group the more impressive it will be.

Would it be possible to publicise this within your group to see if there is any interest in joining in? I am not sure of exact time yet but expect it will be around mid afternoon on Monday 31st August.

Let me know. You can reply by email or call me on 01905 75 2653
