Team page didn't ride climb this year because Joe broke his collar bone, Holly pulled some ligaments in her ankle, which left me little motivation to have a go.

My silliest cycling miscalculation has to be in the late 80's when i jumped away in a 80 mile Cleavdon & dis RR from the gun, i spent about 10 mile on my own before being joined by 5 more. Then blew big time with 20 mile to go and crawled in about 10 min after the bunch had finished furious
I think that was the begining of the end and only rode a couple of races the following year, before hanging up my wheels for 16 years!

       get well soon Joe
Sounds like a valliant effort mate next time do it on a 60

       mile race...................................biggrin

Well done to all those who braved the climb. It was a great way to celebrate a birthday Dan.

Well the dumbest thing this week was to put a fixed into a road bike (forward facing dropouts). blankstare Compound it by not check chain alignment to eager to get out on fixed.weirdfaceThen let myself spin up to 168 (the computer recorded it) or 34mph.
I felt the horrible clunk as the chain bounced off. Then the back wheel stoped. Not the bike!bleh  The wheel is forced out of the frame and I then developed a case of road rash on my right ankle, Leg, and Ass. oh I did ride the 8 miles home though once i put the bike back together.

This is not to be repeated though. And work were happy to hear that i had left the computer in the office that night.

Nice photos, Dan (photo 3) looks like he's not trying though! I (photo 4) look like I'm about to die, and Steve (photo 12) just looks like he was... FAST!

As for my cycling Mistakes... there have been so many I don't know where to start!.. I have just done a hill climb up Dovers hill with Evesham Wheelers. Which, coming the day after Ankerdine, was a pretty stupid thing to do!

Yup, I tried to take photo's of you lot hill climbing again.
See picture below - I did get one completely empty frame and all the rest are pretty blurred - might look OK as a thumbnail but that't about it!
Sorry didn't get everyone and don't know names!
