What if I like whale on my pizza Rob? Do I have to mix dodgy Campag stuff with my Shimano?

Having seen the stretch on that Lycra skinsuit Si, I can believe this whale on my pizza thing - give the whale a miss and stick with shimano..................biggrin

Whats with the Campag Bashing. Alright they don't make cranks short enough for me (165mm with more than 1 ring).
But i have never broken a pair of their track cranks. SR, Sugino and Shimano have all snapped over the years.

Homemade Pizza yuummmm.

Don't Campag cranks snap off all the time? Just something I have heard on ocassionbiggrin..........

However..... I have been giving some thought to Jap versus Italian stuff especially regarding the purchase of Sh*mano stuff vis the big S make fishing equipment and as I am animal lover and a mostly vegan person I should avoid the products from this company so will be going over to the snappy crank company next time I buy a groupset... oh yeh and the Japanese like to kill whales so boo to them [the Japs, not the whales , I like whales]

Back to the fixed competition.... good ride on Tuesday, I would have won it......

if I was a bit faster.

Yeh, but Campag make Pizza cutters (they sell 'em in CW) and I love Pizza's and they should be given more respect like Whales, cutting then in half, then quarters, then eighths....................well cruel  !!!!! (down with the kids me!!)

Save the Pizza and the Whale I say and ride Sram instead (which is supplied by Fisher Outdoor Leisure - kind sponsors to the Arctic Premier Race Team).

Who are these anti-Italianites? Ever since the days of wobbly Honda's I've preferred the sharp Italia look. Hence Campag gear on new bikes. Anyway my triple disc braked Moto Morini's didn't need the brakes to work they'd go round any bend at any speed. (Mind you the engine didn't really push them along that fast)

Hi Vince, yeah I can bring your stem thing on Tuesday. As for the chainring, I'm afraid it's shimano... Ever since I had a go on a friends old Ducati with Italian Brembo brakes I've been nervous of anything Italian. It went ok, but stopping the thing was impossible... There really is no room for Italian flair when designing brakes!

Tidy machine.........
Joe's grown about 4" since he last rode his track bike and we are having trouble with sorting a longer stem. He also needs a 48 tooth 135 chainring if anybody's got one kicking about.
He rode my bike at last weeks FNTL but it was a touch too long !

A few people turned up, but the weather was so bad Sam had no choice but to cancel the ride. If this keeps up I may win the series!

So, who's going to give the fixed gear bikes a go tomorrow then? I'm up for it if there are going to be others doing the same..
