Well the race wasn't that fair!wink I did have pneumatic tyres, a free wheel, a safety cycle and clipless pedals!

But the 2 hunters out you tooted were magic their jaws hit the floor!biggrin You could see the disbelief!weirdface

No you managed to get down hatfield where i was convinced that you were going to top yourself. Well done

Great video clip, you've managed to make it look like I was going really quickly! Oh and cheers for buying me a pint, even though you beat me!

Is anyone doing it on a quick bike - or is it all done on another bike?

Dave: check this out this ordinary 77lb's 71 years old and Mr kreig plans to ride across the states! you'll have to do the end to end? LOL

My bike probably 25-30lbs i'll get it weighed.

The "mean green machine" might be lighter than your ordinary but i'll bet in "rider and bike weigh in" i'm heavier! biggrin or will be after i'll hit the pies.

Cheers

I think Dan's going to ride his MTB. Maybe I'll clip some aero-bars on mine and find something else to add to amuse the spectators. (If I stop to take photo's I'll remember to tell the timekeepers this year so they don't worry)
See you there!

Yeah, I can ride it down Hatfield, slowly mind you. A 52" mtb V 54" penny, could be very interesting and very slow....

I'm considering a Single speed MTB. if it considered unusul? 52" gear though.

Dave are you really going to ride down hatfield? if so i do believe that we need to get it on film.

The bmx sounds good! I might even beat that. Anything with Sturmey Archer 3 speed gears or a wicker shopping basket would be great too. Mind you, get one of those things in 3rd and from what I remember they take some catching...

Trying to talk someone at work to do it on a BMX! Could do it on my MTB or old friction gear Raleigh Sprint!

only a short while to go before the boxing day tt, as long as the weather is ok I shall be doing it on the penny farthing in the santa outfit. If anyone else wants to take it a bit less seriously than normal, go for it and we'll see who can record the slowest 10 in history. So come on everyone, dig out that raleigh chopper or your grans old folding shopping bike and and lets see what your made of!
