Suggestions for future:
More publicity and maybe endorsement from Tour of Britain to aid its status?
Could have done with a portaloo or two. Recycling bags for all those water bottles rather than them going in black bin bags in Wolverhampton.

Very well signed. The motorbike marshals were very good and the people at the feedstations were very friendly. An enjoyable experience which was very well organised. Nice touches of magazines and water on coach back to Worcester.

...so i ended up riding on my poor lil tod for about 85 miles (cue ahhs!) and i'm sure Sam will be proud as i never took a wrong turn or any detours or cut any corners smile.gif but anyway i loved the route and scenery..brilliantly signposted...who put that pub along coalport bank around the corner as i nearly got tempted!? And the track finish was great way to end it with hugh porter 'egging' me on to the finish(there i go again with eggs!) yep i'd love to do it again next year as i reckon others do too!

...'COME IN NUMBER 27 YOUR EGG SANDWICH IS UP!'... Ahem right where do i start..oh yes at 930 last off and with huge amounts of the proverbial egg on my face..(and literally too i guess!) ...did start off with mr killeen though which was a privilege! And then i lost him..or rather i got dropped due to err umm an egg sandwich i'd eaten right before the ride..almost as bad as that bread n butter pudding or the avocado salad i had those times on club runs!

Event seemed to go like clockwork. Can't really suggest any improvement except a circular route. (Thanks for the back wheel home Dave, turned it into a proper days cycling!) Signposting was perfect, never had to worry if I was off course, motorbike marshalls gave us a sense of security every so often, feeds brilliant (maybe some more 'wet' food for the hot conditions), route great, though main road run into Wolverhampton not so enjoyable. Hugh Porter and the track make a good finish. It should be even better when it gets the 500+ riders it deserves. 9 riders in St John's colours plus a few others we mad our mark - really suprised at lack of other clubs in on it.
Where are all the photo's?

How'd you like the sportive on Sunday then? Any comments, criticisms from those who rode, greatly appreciated.
